Applications are OPEN for the Summer Cohort of the STEM Explorers Program. Led by researchers at MIT, Caltech, and Stanford, the STEM Explorers Program introduces ambitious middle school students to the cutting edge of their scientific field of interest. Students work 1-on-1 with a mentor and create an independent project.

Explore cool topics like cryptography, astrophysics, neuroscience, artificial intelligence, robotic control, game theory, genetic engineering, and many more!

Week 1: Introduction to mentor and align on a topic
Weeks 2-4: Explore topic and identify the research question
Weeks 5-9: Create a project with 1-1 support from a mentor
Weeks 10-12: Complete final edits and submit the project for final evaluation
