Crystal Miciotto will be hosting a Volleyball Camp over the Christmas break. If you are interested, open the flyer and google form link below. Both will be available on her website soon at www.crystalmiciottovolleyball.com. This camp is open to all schools, so please feel free to pass on the flyer to friends from another school.

When: Monday, Dec. 30th (1pm-4pm) and/or Thursday, Jan 2nd (9am-12pm)
Cost: $45 for 1 day or $90 for both days
Where: The Cajun Elite Facility (106 Eppler Road, Lafayette)

As we celebrate this Advent season, we wish to extend our deepest gratitude to you for your generosity and commitment to support the Cathedral-Carmel School History Preservation efforts. We are within reach of our campaign goal with only $350,000 left to raise. We anticipate celebrating a Mass of Thanksgiving and the newly restored buildings in November, 2025. This campaign began in May, 2023 to restore and preserve the historic buildings on campus - the Middle School building, the oldest building, includes installation of central air/heat, accessibility updates, and refinishes; and the 2nd-4th Grade building upgrades include a new HVAC system and new windows in all the classrooms.

Our parents, grandparents, faculty, and alumni have always played a significant role in the success of Cathedral-Carmel School. Parents...this is a reminder to submit photos for the 8th Grade Memory Slideshow. So far only five (5) out of seventy (75) students in our Class of 2025 have submitted photos. Please open the link below for everything you need to know to complete this task and check it off your list!

Parents, your 8th grader's time at CCS is quickly coming to an end, meaning that decisions about high school need to be made! You are invited to attend the application and scheduling workshop for St. Thomas More. Please open the link below for all the details.

The Amazing Shake is the culminating event of the year for our new House System. All middle school(5th-8th Grades) will engage in a series of competitions aimed at assessing manners, discipline, respect, and communication skills that have been emphasized and taught through our House System.

Our first competition, "WORK THE ROOM" will be held on Friday, January 24th. WE NEED YOUR HELP...We are in search of 160 adults (18 +) to interact with students in the “Work the Room” round. We are looking for CCS alums, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, family friends, professional colleagues/friends! Students mingle with adults as if they were at a business gathering. They must meet as many adults as they can and engage with them. The adults score students on eye contact, handshakes, and poise at the event. Students have only 30 minutes to cover the entire room. Prior to ending each conversation, the student should ask the adult to score their card. Please use the links below to learn how you can help us make this inaugural event a SUCCESS!

Our CCS Administration has made the decision to no longer host Tiger Camp on our campus.

8th Grade Parents - Please mark this date on your calendar and do your best to make sure your child is present on this particular day. On Thursday, February 6, 2025, our 8th graders will remain in the church after our school Mass. Picture Day Studios, (formerly Jay Faugot Photography), will be on hand to take our this traditional picture on the altar. This beautiful photo will be available for purchase before they graduate in May!

Get ready for the wackiest holiday event of the year! Join us for the Wacky Tacky Christmas Sweater Contest and show off your most outrageous holiday fashion. This event will be held on December 18th and there is an entry fee of $5. All proceeds go to Student Services and TREC/REC. ***Homeroom teachers will be collecting money in advance, so please feel free to make your donation ahead of time instead of the day of the competition!

Prizes awarded for: 1) Tacky Tiger Spirit Award for most outrageous and over-the-top sweather that incorporates school spirit.... 2) Best DIY Sweater Award for most impressive homemade sweater.... 3) Holy Holiday Spirit Award for sweater that best embodies the holiday spirit but also incorporates the church....4) Most Likely To Be Grandmas Award for sweater resembling one lovingly crafted or worn by grandma herself...and 5) Best Overall Award for the most impressive sweater that combines creativity, humor, and holiday cheer!

Cathedral-Carmel School is seeking a 5th Grade Math and Science Teacher. The position will be open for the 2025-2026 school year. All applicants must hold a valid Louisiana teaching certificate to teach 5th Grade Math and Science. We ask for all interested applicants to please submit a completed application and resume to Cathedral-Carmel School.

We are within reach of our CCS Preservation GOAL of $5 million! This campaign began in May 2023 to restore and preserve the historic buildings on our campus—the Middle School building includes installation of central air/heat, accessibility updates, and refinishes; and the 2nd-4th Grade building upgrades include a new HVAC system and new windows in all classrooms. The Preservation Committee is working diligently behind the scenes to secure gifts from our alumni and CCS grandparents while our current CCS parents continue to support and participate in various PBA fundraisers benefiting these on-going efforts. We are extremely excited to allocate $250,000 from our 2023-24 PBA fundraising events to our CCS Preservation Campaign and are so grateful for your efforts. This brings us that much closer to our goal!
