Theatrical Arts
As an integral part of the English language, as well as the performing arts, theater is a collaborative art form which combines words, voice, movement, and visual elements to express meaning. By understanding and having a hands-on experience with theater, it is possible for students to reflect on important aspects of life while developing their sensitivity to and deepening their understanding of others' points of view. Students enrolled in theater will gain knowledge and practice in the following areas: creating, performing, responding, and connecting. Courses in performance and non performance theater are available to all 5th-8th grade students.
