STM Summer Art Camp
STM will have 3 camps available this summer; two for youth entering grades 3-5 and one for Junior High entering grades 6-8. Art camp is from 9 AM to 12 PM each day.
Session One-June 12-16 and Session Two-June 26-30 will be a traditional youth summer camp where children will explore a variety of fun artmaking activities where they can create a wide range of expressive works of art. Artworks will include painting, wearable art, sculpture, drawing, full body movement art making, weaving, kinetic art, and more.
Session Three-July 17-21 is a new camp for junior high campers who are interested in learning foundational skills in creating art in a fun way. Campers will learn color theory, perspective and proportion drawing for realistic illusions, value techniques for creating depth, and a variety of art-making media, including both three-dimensional and two-dimensional media.
Campers will once again be able to create several art projects this year using different methods and media. They will be able to design their own shirts again this year. On the last day of the camp, the campers will have an art show to display their artwork created throughout the week.
