Thank you from the Perret Family!
Dear Cathedral Families,
We are truly overwhelmed with gratitude for the generosity and enthusiasm shown during the recent Change for Miles Campaign. As many of you know, this cause is deeply personal to me—Miles was my younger brother, taken far too soon by a brain tumor when he was just eight years old. In his memory, our family and the community founded Miles Perret Cancer Services, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families in Acadiana who are navigating life with a cancer diagnosis.
Since opening our doors in 2002, we’ve had the privilege of walking alongside more than 26,000 families during some of their hardest moments. This year alone, we expect to assist over 4,000 families. From providing wigs to patients undergoing treatment, to delivering meals, offering transportation assistance, and making sure Christmas still comes to families in crisis—none of this would be possible without support like yours. Every penny raised in those little bottles stays here in Acadiana, helping our friends and neighbors, as they fight this terrible disease.
To witness the spirit of giving come to life through your children is both inspiring and humbling. It’s a beautiful reflection of Cathedral-Carmel's Christ-Centered Student Life, and we are honored to be a part of this compassionate community. Thanks to you, Miles Perret Cancer Services can continue to stand beside those who are fighting, surviving, and living with cancer.
With heartfelt thanks,
The Perret Family
